A young female patient came to our office and would like to improve her smiles. She had the following problems:
- peg lateral incisor on the right side
- congenital missing lateral incisor on the left side (had it replaced by a composite tooth that was way too gray!)
- swapped position between her canine and 1st premolar on the left side
- canted smile
It would be ideal to have Invisalign to straighten her teeth and have esthetic crown lengthening on the left side to improve the gum level for the 1st premolar so it can mimic a canine better, but it is her wish to avoid any type of surgery and without breaking the bank! No crowns nor veneers as well.
At Dentistry on Corby, we have treatment options for everyone!
We decided to:
- reshape the incisal edges of her central incisors, so they would look straighter
- reshape her right central incisor and right canine, to make space for a bigger lateral incisor on the right side
- have composite bondings for her right peg lateral incisor
- have compostie bondings for her left 1st premolar, so it would be longer and mimic a canine better
- have a new composite tooth to replace her congenital missing left lateral incisor.
Here are the before, during, and after photos:
Patient was really happy with the result, and it is well within her budget!
